Lasts 2 hours, We refill as long as people are still eating.

• $20 per guest = Well drinks, Domestic beer, House wine
• $30 per guest = Call drinks, All beer, House wine
• $40 per guest = Premium drinks, includes all Liquors
Note: This drink special has a 2 hour minimum, but can be extended longer.

CASH BAR

Once a room charge has been paid, a party can have all guests responsible for their own drinks.

FAQ

CAN WE DECORATE?

Yes – within reason. As long as we can take it down after the party is over, you’ll be fine. NO confetti please!

CAN WE BRING IN A CAKE, COOKIES OR SWEETS?

Yes, this is fine. We can also store a cake or such for your party ahead of time and bring it out at the appropriate moment. We have the plates, napkins and forks for your cake in house.

CAN WE BRING IN A BAND?

We do not have the facilities for bands at Velvet Dog. A singer or guitar player can work in special circumstance, but they are rare.

CAN WE HAVE OUR OWN MUSIC OR A DJ?

No – We play XM radio and have our own DJ’s.

CAN WE CHARGE AT THE DOOR FOR OUR EVENT?

Only under special circumstances for charity events and such. We are not a rental hall; our events are almost always private.

IS THERE A PA OR MICROPHONE FOR EVENTS?

Yes – we have a full sound system with wireless microphone.

CAN YOU SHOW THE SPORTING EVENT WE WANT TO SEE?

Yes – we have Time Warner Cable and can show most events without the sound. We have one HD TV in the main room and three up on the third level. We may put sound on if it is requested by a bigger private party.

CAN WE SHOW MY DVD, PRESENTATION OR MOVIE?

Yes we can. All we ask is that you test it at least a day in advance to avoid any glitches the night of your party.

CAN WE BRING IN A CATERER?

No – Velvet Dog food must be used for private parties.

HOW DO WE HOLD AN EVENT DATE AND PAY?

After we confirm the details of your event, we will email you a Private Party Booking Sheet. This will have all the details of your event and a place to fill out credit card information. We need a card number on file to hold the space, but you won’t be charged anything until you close out your tab with the server the night of.

IS THE ROOM CHARGE A DEPOSIT, OR IS IT IN ADDITION TO THE CHARGES FOR THE PARTY?

If you have a room charge, that is in addition to your food and drink portion of your
event.

HOW DOES THE CASH BAR WORK?

This is where your guests pay for their drinks themselves, either from the bar or from one of our servers. Parties generally have their own server unless it is a bigger party and there may be more servers.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE $20, $30 AND $40 PER HEAD PER HOUR LIQUOR OPTIONS?

The main difference is adding the import beer + Boulevard to the basic option in the $30 selection. At $30 you get calls such as Absolut, Bacardi and Jack Daniels. At $40 everything such as martinis, Grey Goose and Gran Marnier are all included in the option. This is the best option if you really want to take care of a crowd and have the budget to do so.
